This weekend is the Warrior Dash in my neck of the woods….actually that isn’t even close to being my neck of the woods. It’s actually a solid hour long drive, oooo that means I might get a hour of reading in! But anyway back to the Warrior Dash, it is this weekend. A mere 3.21 miles sprinkled with 12 obstacles. 12 obstacles that they seem to keep changing. And happily they changed the first obstacle so it isn’t waist deep water, having the annoying squish in my shoes & most likely blisters at the end of the day was giving me nightmares. I don’t mind if I covered in mud, cuts or bruises here & there because I’m not to gentle….but squishy, wet shoes to start the course? That sounded like torture to me, I even trained by running on day after it rained and ran towards the puddles instead of steering clear of them. I know it probably seems silly but well everyone has their little quirks, I just happen to broadcast mine on the internet.
Saturday afternoon shall be filled with running, mud, trying my best not to wheeze like the fat kid that I am and to finish it off? Beer but of course. So wish me luck, I’ve been working my butt off by running, weight lifting and hot yoga.
